The Unveiling of God’s Children

By Lizzie Young

Take a step back and look at the landscape.

What do you see? What do you hope for, beyond the horizon? What do you remember from times gone by? What do you want to be known for, and what legacy do you want to leave behind?

We don’t often do this; we rarely ask ourselves these questions. Because in the moment, life is up close. It’s confronting. It’s often moving faster than we can keep up, and before you can sit and reflect, up comes another day and the race begins all over again.

Much less do we think about this on behalf of our children. The drop-offs, the pick-ups, the school lunches, the homework and assignments – all the urgent needs looming that we rarely step back and ask what life are we building for them? Sure, one day, they will pick up their own bricks and continue to build their own lives, but for now while our kids are still… well… kids, we are the ones paving the way that they walk in.

    This is what excites me about Kingdomcity School. Some might be hesitant putting kids into an online school – but the reality is, the 2020’s are lightyears ahead of the world I lived in growing up in the 90’s. Back then, the playground was our battlefield – now the battlefield has moved to the airwaves. So then, must we. The earlier we can shepherd our kids within the jungle of the online world and teach them how to navigate it, the more likely they are to make wise choices with the online world later on in life.

    Imagine what’s on the brink of their horizon.

    What will the world look like in the 2040’s, when they are getting their own kids ready for their season of school. What will be the “playground” of the year 2043? What is the world they will need to overcome? Giving them this platform of understanding, and leading them into the life of a Pioneer – what a world we are building and shaping before them! What an excitement this can bring to their hopes and dreams!

    I for one, am at the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what is to become of our wonderful Kingdomcity School kids. And not just me;

    The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!
